Join us for the official launch of the Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology Vol. II: Queer Joy & Gender Euphoria Edition, published by Unwanted Words and presented as part of Poetry International Festival 2026.
This bilingual anthology brings together the voices of 51 LGBTQ+ poets and spoken word artists based in the Netherlands, celebrating queer joy, gender euphoria, pleasure, softness, pride, and the freedom of becoming.
But this isn’t your typical book launch.
For one evening, poetry steps off the page and into the streets. The launch transforms into a block party where poets, music, and community come together in a shared celebration of queer life. Expect live performances from poets featured in the anthology, music by DJ DUCKY (a.k.a. skips), and an atmosphere filled with connection, creativity, and collective joy.
At a time when queer stories are often framed through struggle or survival, this anthology invites us to imagine something more expansive. Through poetry and spoken word, these writers reclaim joy as a radical act of resistance, healing, pleasure, and possibility.

About the Anthology
Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology Vol. II: Queer Joy & Gender Euphoria Edition is a bilingual collection in Dutch and English featuring work by 51 LGBTQ+ poets and spoken word artists living and creating across the Netherlands.
Published by Stichting Unwanted Words Project, the anthology continues our mission to amplify queer, feminist, and marginalized voices through poetry, storytelling, community, and artistic collaboration.
This edition centers joy as a transformative force. The poems explore desire, tenderness, friendship, pleasure, pride, self-discovery, and collective imagination, offering visions of queer futures rooted in abundance rather than limitation.
